About One Sun, No Waiting, Annie says:
“A friend of mine loves throwing story ideas at me just to see if any of them stick. One day he said, ‘What if the sun was hollow and something lived inside?’ For some reason, that made me remember a family trip down the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada (yes, that’s a real thing) on our way to Las Vegas. I put those two things together, thought a bit about the people who choose to live in the little towns that dot the desert backroads, and One Sun, No Waiting was born.”
Sometimes an author sends you exactly the story you didn’t know you wanted – and that’s exactly what Annie Reed did. One Sun, No Waiting is a perfect gem of a story. As soon as I read it, I not only knew I had to have it, but that it was exactly the right story to close this anthology. I hope you agree.
